Sexy Remark

Boy.. I  love politicians and bureaucrats. Their timely controversial statements provide fodder for my blogs. The recent statement was made by the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women at a function held by a women organisation. She said and I quote "Boys pass comments on girls terming them sexy but sexy means beautiful and charming. We should not see it in negative sense," When she invited the ire of women organizations and others, she did not apologize but clarified that her remark was made in the broader context since she was addressing the youth and that it did not apply to strangers or roadside Romeos who use the word sexy to tease girls which is condemnable. Is she right or wrong?

The Merriam Webster dictionary offers 2 meanings
1: sexually suggestive or stimulating : erotic
2: generally attractive or interesting : appealing  ( eg- a sexy brochure

Things are changing and so are the meanings. We adopt a lot of things from the West, but not their tolerance to Freedom of Speech. The song 'Sexy and I know it' is a chart buster and was performed live by the group LMFAO (Laugh My Fucking Ass Off) at the recently held Grammy awards.

If someone called my blog sexy.. I wouldn't sulk 'cos its sexy and I know it.

(
International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 every year . Thousands of events occur on this day and throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. This year theme is - CONNECTING GIRLS, INSPIRING FUTURES.  From my side, I am dedicating all the blogs for this month to woman oriented issues)

  1. Hmm....what about if some one calls Bebe? May be another blog on that one....?

It would be disappointing to call this blog the last of your writings on women related issues...perhaps an insult too (since women related issues are said to be the root cause for all issues to begin with)....

I have one question for which I have not found a good answer yet. Why do women flirt even after marriage?

Well the same may be asked of men but there have been numerous explanations....but not to the question raised above....may be some blog fodder helps....
